Hockey Explosion 2019  

Thank you so much to all of the participants, visitors, volunteers, sponsors, and raffle donors for making our third Team Tucker Hockey Explosion a wonderful day for all!  Over 150 kids skated and many more kids and adults enjoyed the food and fun at the Hopkins Pavilion on October 6th.   Thanks to Traci Morelli of Edina Realty for sponsoring the bounce house and to Original Hockey Mom's Brownies ​for supplying their wonderful treats.  Special thanks also to the Minnesota Wild Sled Hockey Team​ for showing us the amazing sport of sled hockey and allowing participants to give it a shot.  We are incredibly grateful for another Team Tucker event full of play, laughter, and love!

In 2017, Team Tucker: Play Laugh Love hosted the 1st Annual HOCKEY EXPLOSION. Watch this video to learn more about this powerful birthday party and what it means to so many people.  Then check out the info below on this year’s event and plan to see us there!

​WHO

​On the ice, the Hockey Explosion celebrates all players of any level of youth hockey, Mite/U6 through Varsity! Players from across the metro and throughout Minnesota are encouraged to attend, participate and have fun!

Families and the entire community are invited to watch the games and to enjoy the food, bounce house, and especially the amazing raffle that is held throughout the day.  There is truly something for everyone at the Team Tucker Hockey Explosion!

​WHAT

The Hockey Explosion is a fantastic day of small sided hockey games, off-ice skills challenges, games for all kids and a raffle full of amazing gifts for the whole family.

AND . . .  New this year, Team Tucker was thrilled to showcase the MN Wild Sled Hockey Team!  Members of the team played a game and then invited all interested players to come to the ice and try sled hockey for themselves.  It was an incredible addition to the Hockey Explosion!

​WHERE

​The Hockey Explosion is held at the Hopkins Pavilion on Excelsior Boulevard. 

​WHEN

​The HOCKEY EXPLOSION takes place in October.  The day’s events run from 8:30AM to 5:00PM.  Participation does not require players to stay the entire day.  

​WHY

​Tucker loved playing and watching hockey. We couldn’t get him to leave Hopkins Pavilion or go to bed if the Minnesota Wild were on TV. Tucker’s birthday was also right in the middle of hockey season. So, to honor his memory and celebrate his birthday, his mom created Team Tucker’s HOCKEY EXPLOSION, a birthday party any hockey loving kid would be thrilled to attend. The event brings together Tucker’s favorite things: Hockey, old friends and new friends, music, games, prizes, and the fun of just being a kid at the rink.  All funds raised at the Hockey Explosion go towards funding the programs of Team Tucker Association.
